Blunder of the Day

Black to move

Black has no less than one dozen moves that maintain a decisive advantage, including 32...Qc2. Inexplicably, Black played Rc2??

Lucky for me, I was white. My miserable position reflects the abysmal quality of my play since returning to the Internet Chess Club last week. Even so, given such an opportunity, I did not waver.

  1. You lucky one, Rxg7+ Kh8, Rg8+ (double check, Rook and Queen) Kh7, R1g7 checkmate. I think Qc2 is the easiest road to victory for black.
