Thursday Tactic

Chess Informant 1.1 is a 1966 correspondence game between Vladimir Simagin and Alexey Sokolsky, two old men. Simagin had served as a trainer to Vasily Smyslov, preparing him for his successful world championship match. Both players are known for opening innovations (1.b4 is sometimes called the Sokolsky Opening).

As is common, even in games between titled players, the end of this game was decided by a tactical shot.
